Business Plan Outline The Writing a Business Plan Series

Thinking about writing a business plan? Here is an outline business plan, in what areas of the business plan in the order they appear in your business plan complete with a brief explanation of each section to help you organize and guide you through the business plan process.
The Executive Summary
While it appears first, this section of the business plan is written last. It summarizes the main elements of the overall business plan. (Example of Executive Summary)
The industry
An overview of the industry that your company will be a part of, including industry trends, major players in the industry and the estimated sales of the industry. This section of the business plan is a summary of your company in the industry. (Example Business Plan: Section Industrial)
Market Analysis
An examination of the primary target market for your product or service, including geographic location, demographics, the needs of your target audience and how these needs are satisfied.
Competitive Analysis
A study of direct and indirect competitors, with an assessment of its competitive advantages and an analysis of how to overcome barriers to market entry of their choice.
Marketing Plan
A detailed explanation of your sales strategy, pricing plan proposed advertising and promotional activities and benefits of the product or service.
Management Plan
An overview of the legal structure of your business and water resources, including its internal management team, management of external resources and staffing needs.
Operational Plan
A description of the physical location of your business, facilities and equipment, types of employees needed, inventory and suppliers, and any other details applicable operating system, such as a description of the manufacturing process.
Financial Plan
A description of the financial requirements, the detailed financial statement and balance sheet analysis.
Attachments and exhibits
Any additional information that will help the credibility of your business idea, such as market research, photographs of your product and / or contracts or other legal agreements are relevant to your business.
